Tracy Anderson Dance Cardio II [DVD]
I've been in a total rut lately and I need to get back to the TA Method.  I ordered the Tracy Anderson Dance Cardio II [DVD] to motivate me...big mistake!!  While I'm glad that I officially own every TA dvd, I'm not ready to do the DC2 dvd.  I need to go back to the original DC and really work on mastering that.  So today that's what I've worked on.  I want to know these routines and be able to perform them like second nature.  So I will focus on that and eventually I'll be ready for the DC2.

Also, my diet has been horrible!!  I'm a total sugar addict, I need to kick this habit ASAP!

Good Day!

I'm feeling really energized right now.  I had a pretty good day food-wise, then came home and did my workout.  Yay me!

Breakfast:  Soy Chai Latte and a Fuji apple

Lunch:  Two bean burritos

Snack:  Two mini peppermint patties (Yikes!  Halloween candy!)

Dinner:  Roasted red pepper hummus and toasted pita chips

I did the BC book muscle work except for the arms because the book's arm work confuse me.  Instead I did the Malawi arm webisode and Tracy's Goop arm workout.

After the muscle work, I did almost 40 minutes of dancing!!  I felt great, but I really need to invest in a few more sports bras (don't think the twins are getting the proper support).  All that jumping around really started to dig in my shoulders.  I can't wait to download more dance mixes, the music really helps me get through it and it makes it really fun.

Great day...I've got to keep this up!

Tomorrow's a New Day

I've fallen off the TA Method wagon for nearly 2 weeks.  I'm no longer going to feel guilty and wallow in it, I'm going to start over.  So I'm re-reading the book and re-committing to eating clean and the exercise.  The great people on the Facebook fan page have really been an inspiration and motivation.

Inspiration/Motivation: Kelly Osbourne

I am always inspired and motivated by people who have body shapes similar to my own.  Weight loss and maintenance seem much more attainable when it's someone with measurements like mine.

I've always been a fan of Kelly Osbourne (even bought her CD Shut Up back in the day).  She's always had a great sense of style and a bossy attitude that I admire.  I liked her when she was a member of Team Chunk but now seeing her weight transformation has made me even more of a fan.

Today US Weekly has a story about Kelly shooting the cover of Shape magazine.  She's so honest and endearing you can't help but love her, but the line that stuck out most to me was "I just commit to half an hour a day. It doesn’t seem overwhelming and I can handle that,".  That's it, she didn't describe some crazy diet, dangerous injections or expensive supplements.  Just a half hour of exercise EVERYDAY!

It's that the commitment that I need to find in myself.  No excuses, just got to put in the work.

Thanks for the motivation Kelly, I really needed it today!

Meet Teddy!

Just because he's so darn cute...

Not as innocent as he looks, trust me!

Day Ten: I'm back!!

I think technically this is day eleven but since I took a couple days off I'm counting it as day ten.  I had a very long day, didn't get home until almost 9PM.  I had to do my nighttime unwind ritual which includes mindless TV and a glass of wine (don't judge me!  lol).  So I'm sitting there enjoying tonight's episode of Jersey Shore (again, don't judge me!  I love Vinny and Snooki Waahhh!) and I start to feel heavy and gross.  Can it be??  Is this what it feels like when your body actually wants to workout?  I'm asking because I have NEVER felt like this before.  By now it's 11:30PM...who works out at that hour?  Answer:  I DO!!  I started by learning this combination:

I danced around with that combination for about 15 minutes but then I went back to the combination I learned a few days ago because it was so much fun!  Then I put on my new dance cardio playlist and just danced!  It was such a great feeling and I've found that dancing to songs I like motivates me to keep going even longer.  I had an awesome sweat going and I loved it.  I think this is why I love the TA Method.  I've never enjoyed working out so much and that's what it's all about.  Finding a method (whatever it may be) that you really enjoy and just do it!  All out!!

P.S.  I have yet to experience any of the injuries (shin splints, etc.) that some others have complain about when doing the dance cardio, thank God!!

P.S.S.  Here are a few songs on my new TA Method dance cardio playlist:
Dynamite (Mixin Marc Remix Radio Edit)
In My Head [Rhythm Remix]
